Rules and rights
Separate what the law requires, what KISOP promises, and what a company chooses to do.
Three different questions
What does the law say?
Browse rules by place, subject, status, and effective date.
KISOPWhat rules bind this project?
Disclosure, human decisions, optionality, consent, security, and environmental cost.
DisclosureHow does KISOP use artificial-intelligence systems?
Which work includes model output, which information remains out of bounds, and who decides what publishes.
AI laws
The law index will be organized by jurisdiction and by the question an everyday person may have. It will not be one undifferentiated essay.
Privacy and personal data
Collection, retention, sale, access, correction, deletion, and sensitive-data rules.
Health information
Health records, consumer health data, medical devices, and clinical decision support.
Automated decisions
Housing, employment, credit, insurance, education, and other consequential decisions.
Biometric data
Faces, voices, fingerprints, movement, and other identifying measurements.
Disclosure and synthetic media
When people must be told that AI is involved or content is machine-made.
Copyright and training data
Authorship, licensing, source disclosure, and unresolved questions about model training.
What every law entry must show
- Jurisdiction, name, status, enactment date, and effective date.
- Who and what it covers, in plain language.
- Why it may matter to a person using KISOP.
- A link to the primary government text.
- Last verified date and whether licensed legal review is complete.
The current AI governance page contains a dated orientation table of major frameworks and laws. That table remains useful, but it will point here as individual law entries are verified.
