KISOP is a person-owned system for keeping the information that shapes a life and coordinating with people and services.
KISOP’s economic design extends that purpose to paid work and local business ownership, with shared resources that help communities build services they need.

Hello. My name is Carmen Wiedenhoeft. I live in Palo Alto, CA. I believe there is a great deal we can learn by going back to smaller care models where people connect 1:1. As a teenager, I helped my mother run her small community pharmacy in Florida. She helped many people with all aspects of their lives. As a small business owner, she faced many challenges on her own. Her mission-driven view of care also meant she made great personal sacrifices of time, money, and her own health to live her love-based practice. I want to change that for future generations. I want small teams like hers to have the resources of global startups.
Today, we call her compassionate view of the challenges each person faced “social determinants of health” in larger systems. However, for her friends and community, these were just the things they needed to be healthy and to help their loved ones — the hard stuff that they faced together.
Kisop is my effort to share those lessons learned and to create a system that could scale globally, like the systems I deployed at Google Health. I have worked in health systems of every size and type throughout my career. I live in Silicon Valley and see up close what we are trying to achieve with AI, digital health coaches, and personal intelligence. I still think we are leaving the most essential pieces out of the equation: individuals, friends, families, and local communities connecting in real life and achieving their goals together. Together, we can transform lives. I hope you will join me in an open community building this dream one piece at a time.
