The steward's desk.

Every job on the board has a steward who answers for its record. This desk is where the record is kept, in the open, like everything else here.

This desk has no lock, on purpose. The site has no accounts, so there is nothing here to log into. Anyone may open this page, and opening it gives you no authority at all.

What the desk edits is a working copy of the board's ledger, held in this browser and nowhere else. What you do here becomes real only when a person with publishing rights replaces the ledger file in the public repository and commits it. That commit, with their name and the date on it, is the provenance.

So authority here is publishing rights, exercised in public, on a record anyone can read. No password grants it. That is the design: the board's record changes only in public.

Nothing you type leaves this page.

No account, no server, no tracking. The ledger is read from a file sitting next to this page; your work in progress is remembered in this browser only, and one button forgets it. Close the tab without publishing and the board is exactly as it was.

Load the ledger, pick a job

Reading the ledger…

Add a job from a proposal

Someone used Name a job and sent you the copy-box text. Paste it here. The desk checks it against the schema, gives it the next free id, and writes its arrival into the job's own history. The job lands in your working copy. It reaches the public board only when you publish.

What you changed

Every line is one action, in the order you took it. Copy this into the session log when you publish: it is the plain-words version of the diff.

Nothing yet.

The updated ledger

This is the whole file, regenerated after every action: the text that has to replace site-v3/assets/jobs-data.js. Nothing on the public board moves until someone does that and commits it.

Download jobs-data.js

One thing worth knowing: a browser reading a script cannot see the comment lines at the top of it; they are stripped before the page ever gets the data. So this desk carries the ledger's opening comment as its own text and writes it back out unchanged. If someone edits that comment in the repository, this page has to be told, or it will quietly restore the old wording. It is the one part of the file the desk does not learn by reading.

Publishing it, in five lines

1

Replace site-v3/assets/jobs-data.js with the text above — the whole file, not a piece of it.

2

Run preflight.sh from the website folder. It must end clear to republish; if it refuses, fix what it names and run it again.

3

Open the board on your own machine and read the job you changed, top to bottom. Eyes on it before anyone else's.

4

Publish the site the way the Administrator's Guide says — the same release checklist as any other change.

5

Commit. The commit is the audit entry: who changed the record, when, and exactly what moved. That is the only log this desk keeps, and it is enough.

Where this stands

What runs today: this desk, in your browser, over a plain file. It reads the ledger, keeps a working copy, enforces the lifecycle guards, and writes the file back out. It cannot publish, and nothing on it says otherwise.

Live — the intake service. Every door on the site opens the form at apply.kisop.com with the kind and the context filled in, and verification and decision emails send. The host stays gated to the founder’s network until the site itself goes public. Live since September 9, 2026; the Build Log carries the status.

Designed, not yet live — the fiscal host. No money can move until an open fiscal host exists. Until then fiscalHost is null, a pledge records interest, the payment recorder on this page stays disabled, and funded is a gate no job can pass. When a host exists, that one field changes and the gate opens — nothing else about this page has to.

Next reviews: Carmen's review and a Spanish edition in her voice are pending. The 📋 mark remains on the site map until both are complete. Dated August 4, 2026.
